Puri: BJP leader Krushna Chandra Jagdev has demanded repolling in 11 booths of Satyabadi Assembly constituency alleging booth capturing by BJD in these booths during the third phase polls held April 23.
Addressing a press conference here Wednesday, Jagdev said, “There were numerous instances of booth capturing done by BJD. Especially in booth-78, the BJP agent was not even allowed to enter. Free and fair polls cannot be conducted under such circumstances”.
“We had urged the district collector to provide security and install CCTV cameras in several booths, but that was not done. We suspect foul play and demand repolling in 11 booths,” he added.
The list of these booths where BJP demands repolling are – booth 78, 99-103, 107-109, 113 and 114 of this constituency.
Speaking on the allegations against MLA candidate Om Prakash Mishra who has been accused of ransacking polling booth and vandalising EVM, Jagdev termed it as a conspiracy hatched by BJD and demanded a fair probe into the incident.
