Bhanjanagar (Ganjam): An employee of a government chicken farm here has committed suicide by hanging himself Friday. Sanyasi Nayak of Bahadapadar area was facing financial difficulties, police have learned. Prima facie, no foul play is suspected
Nayak was working as an assistant in the farm for the past 10 years. A few days back, he took Rs 10,000 from his mother on loan and did not return it. The mother went to the farm Friday only to see her son hanging inside the farm. She alerted the police.
A case of unnatural death was registered. While no exact reason for the extreme step is known, it is suspected that financial difficulties forced him to end his life. He had taken money from moneylenders and was failing to repay, some locals told the cops.
