Struggling with a sore throat? Try eating chocolates for a cure. Yes you heard right. In fact, a research group in England has recently come up with this fact.
Professor Alyn Morice, head of Cardiovascular and Respiratory Studies at the University of Hull and a founding member of the International Society for the Study of Cough, conducted tests on 163 people and landed on this conclusion. Morice found patients with cough problems got healed faster when they took chocolates instead of medicines.
But, Morice’s finding of chocolates having soothing effect on sore threat isn’t new. Earlier, Imperial College, London also conducted a similar research. The research of the scientists of this college found it out that a substance in cocoa acts well on a sore throat than codeine.
