BHUBANESWAR: The city-based fashion and interior design institute, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, has won the prestigious ‘Best Designing Institute-East’ Award at India Education Awards 2019.
The award function was held at the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru by Blindwink, a national market research and brand management company. Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan presented the awards on the occasion.
JD Institute of Fashion Technology Centre Director Vishal Subudhi received the award from Soha Ali Khan.
Several other educational institutions, start-ups and related organisations were feted at the event for their performance and consistency in education.
Launched in 2014, the JD Institute of Fashion Technology has produced several meritorious students who have excelled at the national and international levels.
The JD Institute offers diploma and advanced diploma courses in fashion design, interior design and fashion photography among others.
JD Bhubaneswar also had the distinction of winning the Best Institution Award in Fashion Designing at EduQuest Excellence in 2015.
Expressing happiness over the achievement, Vishal said, “This award is a testimony to the hard work of our students, staff and employees. JD Bhubaneswar has been instrumental in bringing major changes in Odisha’s fashion industry.”
“Within a short time, our institute has become a favourite among students. This award will definitely inspire us to attempt groundbreaking work and churn out talented students in the future,” he added.
