Kuanrmunda: The discovery of a minor Class X student’s five month pregnancy in the Biramitrapur police station area of Sundargarh district has caused widespread concern.
Police Friday arrested the accused and forwarded him to the Sundargarh POCSO Court.
The accused has been identified as Kuldeep Hansdah, 23.
Biramitrapur police have registered a case under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and are continuing the investigation.

According to police, the accused allegedly sexually assaulted her in June after finding her alone and later threatened her with dire consequences to prevent her from disclosing the incident.
The case came to light two days ago when the girl complained of abdominal pain.
Family members took her to a hospital, where medical examination revealed that she was five months pregnant.
Following this, the family lodged a complaint at Biramitrapur police station Thursday leading to the youth’s arrest.
