Bhadrak: Days ahead of the general elections, the Congress has been leaving nothing to chance to woo voters in Bhadrak. The party has been trying to protect the interests of farmers and ensure social security of daily wagers. To make electoral gains, Congress has reportedly distributed guarantee cards to people Tuesday.
The party held a meeting at Maa Bhadrakali shrine and distributed guarantee cards before the party workers took out a rally in the city.
They tried to convince the locals about benefits of the guarantee cards. The guarantee cards also promised loan waiver, fixing paddy MSP at Rs 2600 per quintal, financial aid to farmers for five years, free solar–powered pump sets to farmers, basic minimum income for the poor families, jobs for the economically backward families, monthly allowance of Rs 3500 to unemployed youths, free education for girl children, and financial aid for girls of poor families.
