Cong to discuss poll strategy for Assembly, LS election today

Bhubaneswar: With the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections scheduled for next year, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has convened a meeting of the party legislature meeting Sunday to discuss the poll strategy.

“We will inform the people about the practicality of the election manifesto of the Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government. The meeting will decide the manner in which the party will be able to convince the people,” secretary of the Congress Legislature Party Bhujabal Majhi told mediapesons here.

Apart from this, the meeting will decide to put up some specific problems in the districts in the State Assembly, he added.

The meeting, scheduled at Congress Bhawan in the evening, will be presided over by the OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik in the presence of AICC secretary in-charge of Odisha Jitender Singh and other OPCC office-bearers.
