BHUBANESWAR: With the festivities of Durga Puja looming, Cotton Fab 2019 is drawing a huge footfall in the city.
Sarees, dress material, tops, frocks and palazzos seem to attract most number of buyers at the exhibition-cum-sale.
Interacting with Orissa Post, Javed Alam , organiser, said, “Cotton Fab is exceptional because of its amazing fabric displays. The 120 odd stalls have clearly attracted buyers due to their variety, quality and affordability. Although there are many exhibitions going on, we receive about 5000 costumers every day. The upcoming festivity of Durga Puja is making everyone rush to buy something for their loved ones.”
Owner of a jewellery stall Subash said, “If one opts to buy fashion jewellery, he has to pay somewhere around Rs 500-700 for a pair of latest earrings, necklace or bangles. However, one can avail the same product within Rs 350-400 here. We have products even form states like Rajasthan, J & K, Gujarat and Bihar. Besides, buyers can opt for lucky draw which will avail them a surprise gift at the end of the exhibition. Above all, lifestyle products like decoration pieces, paintings and artificial flowers have caught the imagination of every costumer.”
Swati Sikha, an engineering student, said, “The products which I search for in online shopping websites are easily available here. The quality as well as price of products on sale here has really surprised me. I am so pleased to buy my favorite floral Kurti for a mere Rs 450.”
Boasting a wide range of products and aided by the warm behavior of organisers and weavers, Cotton Fab 2019 has won the hearts of many.
