Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate of police Friday night rescued 10 girls after a raid at a dance bar that was operating without a license at Kharvel Nagar here.
The police detained the dance bar’s manager and event manager.
This is the second such raid at an illegal dance bar this month. The police had raided a dance bar that was operating on Cuttack road here and rescued 10 girls August 3.
As per the guidelines issued in October 2016, bars that employ women should obtain the approval of the State Excise department. According to the law, the police will also conduct raids at regular intervals to check whether the rules are being followed strictly by such bars.
