New Delhi: Noted Odia writer Professor Dasarathi Das will be conferred with the Kendra Sahitya Akademi award 2018 at a special function in Odisha as he could not attend the award ceremony organised by the Akademi here Tuesday.
Kendra Sahitya Akademi Secretary K Sreenivasa Rao said. “Dasarathi Das could not attend the function due to his ill health. He will be awarded in a special function in Odisha or the award will be given to him at his home.”
Professor Das will be awarded for his book ‘Prasanga Puruna Bhabana Nua’- a collection of Odia essays dealing with the poetic traditions of Odisha. The collection carries a finely crafted critical analysis, comparative analysis of various genres, processes, traditions and movement of Odisha.
