Jharsuguda/Lakhanpur: A 12-hour bandh called by Jay Bhima Ghasi Samaj has thrown normal life out of gear in Jharsuguda town.
The social outfit has given bandh call demanding Jharsuguda district old health centre to be made fully functional.
The members of the outfit were seen picketing at bus stand, railway station square, Dharmasala square, Sunarimunda and Beheramal.
All the educational institutions, shops, business establishments have downed their shutters. Government and private offices are closed. Traffic is off the road, affecting the normal life badly.
Ample security arrangements have been made in the town to avoid any untoward incidents.
