The tradition of pleasing the adorable deity in this majestic temple is also wonderful. Here, people take woods instead of flowers to remove the poison of snakebite and fulfill their obligations. These woods are for human shape. They are called as ghosts of the muni. The wood clods in the temple are of a tree named Kama.
Sage Baba has a deep connection with the snakes of this temple. The devotees who come to the temple believe that even today, after chanting the mantra, the people where the snake came from return to it.
The fame of the temple of Astik Baba is that every year lakhs of people reach here for a glimpse here. The devotees bath in the nearby river Sai and worship the temple in the courtyard.
