Nuapada: Forest officials Monday found a deer carcass at Dohelpada village under Komna forest range in this district.
The villagers spotted the carcass in the morning and alerted the officials. Wildlife warden Mayadhar Saraf along with other officials visited the spot.
The deer, in search of food and water, sneaked into the village from Sunabeda range but died due to dehydration, the warden said.
The deer was buried after post-mortem.
