Sundargarh: In an incident of alleged custodial death, a detainee was found hanging in the bathroom of Rajgangpur police station in Sundargarh district Wednesday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Jai Kumar Lakra (30).
According to reports, police had detained Lakra for interrogation over allegations of duping several persons to the tune of Rs 10 lakh after collecting money from them on the pretext of depositing in a bank.
His body was found hanging in the bathroom at around 10.30 pm.
Meanwhile, police forces have been deployed around the station to avoid any untoward incident.
