Debabrata Swain is a distinguished environmental leader with over 35 years of experience in wildlife conservation, forestry, and environmental governance. A passionate advocate for elephant and tiger conservation, he has held several key positions in the Indian Forest Service, including serving as the PCCF and HoFF, Odisha (2018-2019).
He is the founder of the Save Elephant Foundation Trust, an organisation committed to the protection of elephants and their habitats. In addition to his role as the Member of Lokayukta Odisha (2019-2024), Swain has also been recognised internationally for his expertise, having served as Member Secretary and CEO of the NTCA in New Delhi and as Inspector General, NTCA, Central Region. Swain will attend the mega event as a panellist and a Dharitri Climate Grant jury member.
