Discontent over abrupt cancellation of OTET

OTET

Paralakhemundi: The Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET), which was scheduled for Sunday, was abruptly postponed late Saturday night after reports emerged that the question paper had been leaked on social media platforms.

After the reports surfaced, authorities postponed the examination till further notification. As a result, more than 1,000 candidates who had travelled to five exam centres across Paralakhemundi town in Gajapati district returned home disappointed.

Many had already arrived at their centres Sunday morning, unaware that the test had been postponed as no official notification had been displayed beforehand. It was only after a few staff members arrived at the centres that a handwritten notice announcing the postponement was pasted on the walls, further frustrating the waiting candidates.
