Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has cancelled two trains for the next two days and also announced short-termination of three others for modernisation works, said the railway sources.
“As the doubling and safety related works are going on between Dungripali-Khaliapali Section of Sambalpur Division, it has been decided to cancel and short-terminate some of the trains,” an official from the ECoR said.
Talking about the cancellations, the ECoR said the Bilaspur-Titlagarh Passenger will be cancelled for five consecutive days from February 24 to February 28. Similarly, the Titlagarh-Bilaspur Passenger will also remain cancelled from February 25 to March 1.
Moreover, the Bhubaneswar-Bolangir Express from February 25 to 28 will be short-terminated at Bargarh Road and will run as Bolangir-Bhubaneswar Intercity Express from Bargarh Road to Bhubaneswar. The services of the train will remain cancelled from both directions between Bargarh Road and Bolangir during the period from February 25 to 28.
Similarly, the Howrah-Jagdalpur Express will be short-terminated at Sambalpur and will run as Jagdalpur–Howrah Express from Sambalpur to Howrah from February 24 to 27. On the reverse route, the Jagdalpur-Howrah Express will be short-terminated at Tiltlagarh and will run as Howrah-Jagdalpur Express from Titlagarh to Jagdalpur from February 25 to 28. The service of Howrah – Jagdalpur – Howrah Express will remain cancelled from February 25 to 28 between Sambalpur and Titlagarh, said the ECoR sources.
