Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) Friday raided the residence of Archana Nag, who was arrested in 2022 in a high-profile honeytrap and extortion case, in connection with alleged financial irregularities.

Nag was not at her Satya Vihar residence during the raid, but her father and other family members were present, officials said.

According to the report, the ED had earlier issued a notice asking Nag to vacate the three-storey building. As she failed to comply, the agency conducted the raid and attached the property under Section 8(4) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

Authorities arrested Nag and her husband, Jagabandhu Chand, in October 2022 following allegations that they took obscene photographs of a woman and exploited them to honeytrap politicians, businessmen and bureaucrats in Odisha. The ED subsequently filed proceedings against Nag under Section 8 of the PMLA.
