Bhubaneswar, May 22: A delegation of the state government’s higher education department will visit Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh from May 31 to study skill development education adopted in these states.
The team has recently wrapped up a trip to Gujarat during which it studied skill development strategies adopted by the state.
The delegation comprising vocational education director Roshanara Begum and deputy director PK Tripathy made a four-day visit to Gujarat from May 5 and now will visit Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh to get a first-hand experience in the functioning of different skill training centres, sources said Friday.
The panel will visit skill development centres in Karnataka between May 31 and June 5 and then leave for Andhra Pradesh, where they will stay till June 9.
The team will also study the functioning of the state higher education council formed under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) and the Acts and statutes of universities.
After the visit, the team will share its views on the best practices adopted by the states with the state government. Accordingly, some of the best practices would be adopted in the state, sources said.
