Bolangir: Vigilance sleuths Friday said that they have arrested a head clerk belonging to the State Excise department on the allegations of amassing disproportionate assets against sources of income. The accused has been identified as Trinath Sethi who belongs to the Excise department in this district.
According to a vigilance officer, acting on a tip-off, the sleuths conducted raids at four places including Sethi’s residence and office Friday morning.
During the raid they seized documents. The details regarding the value of assets of the clerk would be ascertained after the completion of the raids, informed an official.
