Berhampur: A woman allegedly hanged herself to death besides MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur after her husband suffering from epilepsy died while undergoing treatment in the hospital Saturday. They were Lamobhdar Behera and his wife Jayanti Behera of Suramani village under Sorada police limits in Ganjam district.
A case of unnatural death was registered and the two bodies were sent for autopsy. According to sources, Lambodar was affected by epilepsy and was taking medicine. However, under stress, he took overdose of the medicine and had to be admitted to Sorada community health centre (CHC) after his condition worsened.
Later, he was shifted to MKCG where he died while undergoing treatment. Unable to bear her husband’s death, the woman hanged herself from the branch of a tree besides the hospital, it was learnt.
