Family of ‘kidnapped’ girl petitions SP office

Puri: The family of a minor girl allegedly kidnapped by a youth of the same village a week ago has sought intervention of the SP for her rescue and return to parents. The family suspects that some cops were shielding the youth and not arresting him though they had filed a complaint immediately after the 15-year-old girl went missing. On the other hand, the youth and his family were threatening them to withdraw the complaint, the parents told the ASP, in the absence of the SP,Friday.
