Fans ransack theatre over cancellation of ‘Sundargarh Ra Salman Khan’ screening

Cine lovers ransack theatre

Balasore: Protesting against the cancellation of the screening of Babushan-starrer movie ‘Sundargarh Ra Salman Khan’ for two consecutive days, movie goers Friday ransacked the Ganesh Cinema Hall at Jaleswar.

The movie goers alleged though the film was released two days back, they were unable to watch the latest movie of Tarang Cine Productions due to some technical snag.

“For the last two days the authorities of Ganesh Cinema Hall have failed to run the movie despite the fact that we bought tickets in advance from the counters,” said a local resident.

Another movie goer alleged that neither the theatre management nor any other official informed about the actual reason for the cancellation of the screening.

“We were demanding a refund of money or screening of the movie. As the authorities did not give any satisfactory answer, the crowd went berserk and ransacked property at the cinema hall,” said another movie-goer.

Despite several attempts, the authorities of the cinema hall could not be contacted to know the reasons behind the delay and non-screening of the film.

The action packed-family drama Sundargarh Ra Salman Khan has been receiving overwhelming response after its release in 70 theatres across the state on the opening day Wednesday.
