Bhuban: A 65-year-old farmer sustained grievous injuries after a wild boar attacked him on his farmland in Ektaali village under Bhuban police limits in Dhenkanal district Tuesday, officials said.
The injured farmer was identified as Arun Mantri.
Mantri had gone to his groundnut field in the morning when he came face-to-face with the animal.
While he was harvesting groundnuts, the boar attacked him and bit him at multiple places, leaving him with serious injuries.

Locals rushed Mantri to Bhuban Hospital on a motorcycle.
After preliminary treatment, doctors referred him to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack due to the severity of his condition.
