Chhendipada: A farmer met watery grave while taking bath in a pond at Kusakila Matigadia village under Jarpada police limits of this block in Angul district Sunday. He has been identified as Swapneswar Sahu (55).
The incident occurred while the farmer had gone bathing in a pond near the village. Due to carelessness, he went into the deep water and drowned.
Locals spotted the body floating on the pond and took it to Chhendipada community health centre (CHC) where doctors confirmed the death.
A case of unnatural death was registered and the body was sent for autopsy.
