Keonjhar: As many as five persons were killed after a pick-up van crashed into an auto-rickshaw near Basantpur under Keonjhar’s Pandapada police limits, a local source said Saturday.
Besides, nearly five persons also sustained serious injuries in this accident.
As per the source, eight people were in the auto-rickshaw en route to Keonjhar when the pick-up van rammed the vehicle.
Subsequently, locals rescued the injured and rushed them to Keonjhar Hospital in an ambulance.
Police have reached the spot and launched an investigation into this matter.
