Coffee is one of the most widely consumed beverages on the planet. It’s also one of the healthiest, according to several health experts. It may be the single most important source of antioxidants in some people’s diets, outranking both fruits and vegetables together.

Here are a few tips to turn coffee even healthier:

Add some cinnamon

Cinnamon is a flavourful spice that pairs particularly well with coffee. Cinnamon has been shown in studies to help diabetics lower their blood glucose, cholesterol, and triglycerides.

Add some cocoa

Cocoa is high in antioxidants and has been linked to a variety of health advantages, including a lower risk of cardiovascular disease. Many coffeehouses sell caffè mocha, a chocolate-flavoured variation of caffè latte. Caffè mocha, on the other hand, is generally sweetened with sugar. You may easily manufacture your own at home without adding any sugar.

Brew using a paper filter

Cafestol, a diterpene found in brewed coffee, has been shown to increase blood cholesterol levels. When coffee is brewed with a paper filter, the amount of cafestol is successfully reduced but the caffeine and beneficial antioxidants are retained.

Do not load with sugar

Sugar is unquestionably one of the worst components in today’s diet. Sugar is connected to a variety of major ailments including obesity and diabetes due to its high fructose content. Use a natural sweetener like stevia if you cannot picture life without a sweetener in your coffee.

Avoid low-fat, artificial creamers

Low-fat and fake creamers sold in stores are typically heavily processed and may include problematic substances. Consider using full-fat cream, especially from grass-fed cows, instead of non-dairy creamer in your coffee.
