Bhubaneswar: Amid public outrage over the repeated collapse of a portion of the under-construction Bomikhal over-bridge hereThursday night, which killed a labourer and injured another, an eight- member forensic team sent by the state government made an on-the-spot inspection of the spot Friday.
The team, including a woman expert, started investigations to ascertain the possible cause of the mishap.
The city police, earlier in the day, arrested Pratap Kishore Panda, the MD of Panda Infra Projects that was doing the works. Several relevant sections, including section 304 of IPC, have been slapped against him.
Panda was currently on conditional bail from Orissa high court after his previous arrest in the same Bomikhal over bridge collapse case last year in which too, one person had been killed.
