Baripada, June 28: In a shocking incident, Home Guard RI AK Sethi has allegedly made four home guards, including a woman home guard, kneel down in front of Baripada Home Guard RI office in Mayurbhanj as punishment for coming late and not wearing their uniform properly.
DG, Home Guard, Binay Behera has sought a report from Mayurbhanj SP and Home Guard Commandant R Prakash.
However, the identity of the four home guards was not revealed. However, Sethi has confirmed that such an incident has happened.
The incident took place June 23, but the matter came to light only Wednesday.
According to reports, all home guards were called to the Home Guard office at Baripada Friday for duties during Rath Yatra. They were instructed to reach office by 8 am. However, four home guards had not turned up in time. Even they had not put on the uniform properly.
Infuriated over delay and improper dressing, the home guard RI reportedly abused them and even asked them to kneel down in front of others. PNN
