Bhanjanagar: In the continuing crackdown on gambling in Ganjam district, police busted a den and arrested 10 persons in Jiliba village near Bellaguntha Thursday night.
The raid was conducted after police got a tip-off late at night. During the raid, cops also seized a number of mobile phones, bikes and cash worth over Rs 15,000. The held gamblers have been forwarded to court Friday.
“More raids are lined up for the coming days as the area has witnessed a sharp rise in gambling activity in past few months,” said a police official.
