Sambalpur: A student of Class-VII was allegedly molested by her English teacher at Muhalapali area under Kuchinda sub-division in this district. The matter came to the fore Wednesday when the BJD women’s wing met the SDPO and sought the teacher’s arrest. They also pleaded for police protection to the girl and her family.
According to reports, the teacher asked the girl to bring vegetables from the store room and followed her. There, he misbehaved with her. The girl went and complained to the headmaster and her family members. A complaint went to the police from the family.
The accused was absconding and the police have launched a manhunt.
