Puri: Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal visited Jagannath temple Monday and offered prayers to Lord Jagannath.
Sources said, the Governor along with his family reached at the Lions’ gate at around 2 pm amid tight security. Temple’s Neeti (ritual) administrator Biswajit Biswal and sub collector Bhabataran Sahoo gave offered-Khandua to the Governor and welcomed him.
After paying obeisance to the holy trinity, he had darshan of other deities in the temple.
At Lions’ gate, while talking to media people, he sought lord Jagannath’s blessings for Odisha people’s well beings. “The Lord give me enough strength to work for the overall development of Odisha people. May this new year bring new hopes and expectations to all Odias,” he said.
