Mumbai: Former Miss India winner Celina Jaitly turns a year older today.
Celina entered the Hindi film industry after winning the Miss India title but failed to impress fans. On the occasion of her birthday let us tell you some interesting things related to her.
Celina started her career with a marketing job in a mobile phone company in Kolkata before she decided to participate in a local beauty contest. She won the title of Femina Miss India in 2001. She also won the Miss Margo Beautiful Skin, Indiatimes Surfer’s Choice, and MTV’s Most Wanted awards. She was subsequently sent to the Miss Universe 2001 contest representing India where she finished 4th runner-up.
In 2001, she appeared in Jazzy B’s music video album ‘Oh Kehri’. After this she also appeared in an album by Bombay Vikings. After this, in the year 2003, she made her debut in films with Janasheen directed by Feroz Khan. Celina was last seen in the film Thank You (2011).
In 2011, Celina married Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier Peter Haag. During an interview, Celina made several revelations while talking about her and Peter’s relationship. Celina said that Peter and she met for the first time in Dubai. Celina then went to launch an Indian fashion brand store in Dubai. It was love at first sight.
“He visited my parents in August 2010. We got engaged on the same day,” said Celina.
Celina is away from films but still lives a luxurious life. Celina gave birth to twins in 2012 who were named Viraaj and Winston. After this, in the year 2017, she again gave birth to a set of twins. But only one child survived among the two.
Celina was deeply saddened after losing her son.
