Hilarious video: Biker takes flooded road, regrets in seconds

A major accident was narrowly averted Wednesday, August 20, in the Kotabagh outpost area under Kaladhungi police station in Uttarakhand. The Gurni Nala on the Kaladhungi-Kotabagh road was in spate, and its strong current swept away a bike rider, but his life was saved thanks to the immediate intervention of villagers. The incident is said to have occurred yesterday, and the bike rider is now reported to be safe.

Due to heavy rain, the Gurni Nala had overflowed, and water had spread onto the road. A bike rider attempted to cross the flooded stretch but lost his balance in the strong current and began to be swept away. Villagers who received word of the mishap immediately rushed to the spot. Using ropes and other means, they managed to pull the rider out of the water. Observers noted that had the villagers not reached in time, the accident could have been far more dangerous.

The incident took place under Kotabagh outpost in Kaladhungi police station limits. Gurni Nala is situated on the Kaladhungi-Kotabagh road, an important route for the region. During the rainy season, drains in this area frequently overflow, disrupting traffic. This time, too, the rising water posed a serious threat, putting the bike rider’s life at risk. According to sources, he was rescued safely with the help of villagers.

The rider sustained only minor injuries, but his life was spared. Local residents and police have taken the incident seriously, urging people to take greater precautions to avoid such accidents in the future.
