Cuttack, April 24: Hockey Gangpur and Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAGI) played out a 3-3 draw in their last league match of the Vth Hockey India Senior National Championship (Division-A) at Pune, Friday. By virtue of the draw, Gangpur topped the group and qualified for the semifinals.
Gangpur took the lead in the 12th minute as Roshan Minz scored with a firm hit within the ‘D’. CAGI restored parity in the 21st minute through Deepanshu Bhargav. After the change of ends, Gangpur struck again through Roshan in the 34th minute. However, CAGI equalised promptly as DS Darshan converted a penalty corner. Sanjay Xalxo again put Gangpur ahead the 53rd minute. But five minutes later CAGI again came back to draw the game.
