Bhubaneswar: International Institute of Fashion Design (INIFD) hosted here Sunday the annual design show Navyata 2023. The event was attended by Hindi film actor Aman Verma along with global CEO of INIFD Anil Khosla and architect professor Rajkunawan Nayak.
Among other dignitaries former MP Pradeep Kumar Majhi and Odisha Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board chairperson Shreemayee Mishra were present at the event.
The runway dazzled with the presence of popular personalities, including Comedian Papu Pom Pom, actress Jasmin Rath, Actor Abhisekh Panda, and Musical sensation Mrimayee, who graced the occasion as showstoppers.
The evening witnessed a stunning display of talent as more than 200 students specializing in fashion and interior designing showcased their creations. The event provided an exclusive platform for the alumni to exhibit their innovative designs.
A historic moment was marked during the event with the grand launch of Medhavi Skills University and NSDC-empowered vocational training Programmes by INIFD-Bhubaneswar.
During the event, HInid film industry actor Aman Verma emphasised the rising demand for skilled professionals in the design sector. He stressed the importance of equipping young INIFDians with specialised skills that align with the requirements of the talent market. The courses have been carefully curated to be domain-specific and aligned with the National Credit Framework (NCrF).
