Rayagada, June 10: CBI officials, on the second day of fifth phase of investigation of the sensational murder case of shikhya sahayika Itishree Pradhan, Wednesday visited the sub-jail here and collected some vital information.
Inspector RD Sharma and DSP MK Pathak held discussions with jailor Rajkishore Nayak and assistant jailer Nilanchal Panda and took information about the people who had met Netrananda Dandasena, the prime accused in the case from October 31, 2013 till date. The information was collected from the visitor register. The sleuths sought information about the people who came to jail to meet Dandasena apart from his family members and the duration of meeting.
Earlier, the officials went to the court of district sessions judge and verified the certified copies of some of the documents. While inspector Sharma was at the jail campus for some hours, DSP Pathak went back to CBI camp office and analysed statements of 80 persons who were deposed before the Central investigating agency and other records.
It is learnt that inspector Sharma quizzed a woman and two men (not government officials) in the evening at an undisclosed location. The men were especially asked about their relationship with Dandasena and for how long they knew Itishree. According to sources, the three are part of the seven-member group who are likely to be arrested soon and would have to go through polygraph test in Delhi.
On the other hand, during the fifth phase of investigations CBI has put up posters with contact address at several places in Tikiri and Rayagada seeking clues and other details about the case from people.
