Kotpad: The process of issuing land pattas to landless people began in this tehsil in Koraput district as per a earlier declaration of the state government.
On being directed by the Collector, drone cameras are being utilized to conduct a survey of the areas, especially the slums, under this notified area council (NAC) jurisdiction, a report said.
The NAC executive officer and the tehsildar were seen supervising the aerial survey Saturday. While the survey from ward 1 to ward 4 has been completed, it would take another month to cover the entire area under this tehsil jurisdiction.
Two technical teams from Bhubaneswar have been engaged in the survey while Geographical Information System (GIS) engineer Amaresh Panda and civil engineer Bijay Kumar Mohant were there to assist them.
The survey began May 21 and based on the report the government would issue land pattas in accordance with the law.
