Papadahandi: Bodies of a lovebird couple were Thursday spotted hanging from a cashew nut tree with a dupatta near Gumidara under this police limits in Nabarangpur district.
The deceased were identified as Bhabani Dandsena of Nuaguda village and Sati Paik of Gumidara village. On being informed police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
Sources said, Bhabani and Sati had been in a relation for the last two years. Bhabani’s father had been against the relationship and this opposition may have forced the couple to take the extreme step.
On being informed, Papadahandi police reached the spot and seized the bodies for post-mortem. “We have started our investigation taking various angles into consideration,” police sources said.
