Kanisi: A 28-year-old man committed suicide by hanging reportedly after a feud with his wife at Chikarada village under Golanthara police limits in Ganjam district late Wednesday night.
According to sources, Balram Sahu was frustrated over various problems in the household. An altercation erupted between the couple over an issue Wednesday night. To make matters worse, his wife left home and went to her paternal home late that night.
Under severe mental stress, Sahu hanged himself in his room, minutes after his wife’s departure, according to sources. Locals found him hanging and alerted the family members and the police after which the body was seized and sent for post-mortem.
A case of unnatural death was registered and a probe was launched, police said.
