Police said a 25-year-old man allegedly entered the college’s east campus and misbehaved with a female student, hurled obscene abuses and issued threats to her and other students present. The incident is suspected to be linked to one-sided romantic interest.
Following a written complaint at Town police station, officers registered a case (206/25) and arrested the accused, identified as Chandan Kumar Giri, 25, of Badagambharia village under Badasahi police station area of Mayurbhanj district. He was produced in court, where his bail plea was rejected, and was remanded to judicial custody.
