Dhenkanal:In a combined operation, excise officials and local police Sunday night seized huge stocks of foreign and country liquors. The seizure was made in a raid against illegal sale of liquor on a den at Mrudanga village under Bhuban police limits.
The team led by Debi Prasad Mishra seized 100 litres of country liquor and 128 litres of IMFL of various brands. They also seized two freezers and a fridge from the liquor den. Similarly, around 413 litres of bottled beer was also seized.
One arrest has been made. He was the owner of the depot, Jaladhar Samal. Samal was sent to judicial custody after the court reportedly rejected his bail plea. eom
