Jeypore: Police Thursday arrested a man accused of sharing 36 video clips featuring intimate moments of a tribal woman of this town on social media just 10 days after her marriage.
He was identified as Ramkrushna Reddy, 38, of Aska in Ganjam district. A married man, Reddy was working in a private firm in Borigumma.
The girl had married a man of Jeypore April 20. But Reddy, who was in a relationship with the girl in the past, sent the 36 videos to her husband.
The husband lodged a complaint with Jeypore police in this regard. He also refused to stay with his newly-married wife due to her past affair.
Meanwhile, Sadar police registered a case under several sections of IPC. The accused would be produced in a court Friday, IIC KC Sethy said.
Earlier, the incident had put the girl and her family into shame. They picketed at the local police station demanding immediate arrest of the accused.
