Keonjhar: Police Friday arrested a married woman and produced her in court on charges of chopping off her boyfriend’s genital following a dispute at Harichandanpur area in Keonjhar district.
The arrested woman has been identified as Kamala Patra. Kamal was sent to judicial custody after the court rejected her bail pleas. A sharp weapon used in the incident was also seized by police from her possession.
On the other hand, Rajendra Nayak, the victim, has been shifted to the surgery ward of the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. His condition is stated to be stable, hospital sources said.
Correctional surgery will be performed November 12 for repair of the mutilated organ, sources added.
It may be noted here that Rajendra belongs to Jharabeda village under Ghatagaon area. He was in relationship with the married woman. He came from Chennai Tuesday night and went to
Kamala’s house. However, she made him drunk and chopped off his private part.
“She had invited me to see Kali Puja. I went to her house. She gave me food and liquor. When I was unconscious, she cut off my private part,” Rajendra alleged.
