Cuttack, May 24: Mizoram emerged champions of the inaugural National Sub-Junior Women’s Football Championship, mauling Haryana 3-0 in the final at the flood-lit Barabati Stadium here Sunday.

In a match that was keenly-contested in phases Mizoram took the lead in the 30^th minute when Elizabeth broke the deadlock. After the change of ends, Mizoram began to dominate proceedings and scored two more goals through B vanal (62^nd) and Elizabeth (66^th)

Orissa sports secretary Saswat Mishra and Orissa Olympic Association (OOA) secretary Asirbad Beheara were among the dignitaries present and distributed the prizes.
