Boudh: Mutilated body of a man was recovered from an agricultural field near Gochipada in Jogindrapur panchayat under Kantamal block in Boudh district Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Meenaketan Putel (40), a resident of Guchipada village.
According to available information, some locals spotted the body and informed the police, who rushed to the spot and sent it for postmortem.
Since there are injury marks on his body, Meenaketan’s family members and villagers suspect that he could have been murdered over past enmity.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case of unnatural death and started investigation.
