Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has made usage of public and community toilets free for citizens, said an official notification Tuesday.
The Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department of Odisha Government has informed all the municipal corporations, municipalities and NACs across the state in the letter about the public toilets user fee waiver.
If in any case, people are asked to pay fees, then they can contact ‘Mo Sahar Sarkar’ Helpline number (0674 2391395) to register complaints, the letter stated.
In the letter, the government has informed civic bodies to take on Information, Education & Communication (IEC) activities to spread awareness among citizens about the fee waiver.
The Government of Odisha has also conveyed to the public to always use toilets and help in keeping the environment clean in their cities.
