O P Chautala blames grandsons for lapse of furlough

Former Haryana Chief Minister OP Chautala is serving a 10-year sentence in Tihar jail.

New Delhi: Indian National Lok Sal president O P Chautala Monday blamed grandsons Dushyant and Digvijay for cancellation of parole granted to him.

Talking to reporters here , Mr Chautala described the cancellation of parole to him as a conspiracy by  Dushyant and Digvijay and the Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi party,  which has been supporting the candidate of the Jansnsyak Ajanta party,  formed by Dushyant and Digvijay, in the January 28 Jind assembly by poll.

In a letter to the people of Jind, Chautala said despite his illness, he had wanted to be in the midst of the people of Jind.

He said that January 17 he had been granted parole of three weeks. However, earlier Monday, his parole was cancelled.

During his parole, O P chautala was scheduled to camp sign for the INLD candi date for Jind by poll Umed Singh.  His grandson Dushyant has formed a new party Jana Natal party which is said to be gathering huge support in the region. In fact, over the past few weeks JJP has recieved support from the AAP and the Akali dal.

In this context, O P chautala’s campaigning for the INLD candidates was expected to boost the party’s chances in the by poll where it is facing a tough challenge from the rebel outfit.

Terming the cancellation of parole to him as a conspiracy by  Dushyant and Digvijay and the Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi party, Mr Chautala urged the people of Jind to support the INLD candidate Umed Singh in the January 28 by poll and reject the JJP of Dushyant and Digvijay.

O P chautala, son Abhay Chautala  and 53 others, including two IAS officers, were among 55 persons convicted January 16, 2013 by the trial court for illegally recruiting 3,206 JBT teachers in Haryana in 2000.

However, O P chautala had been admitted to the LNJP hospital recently due to illness.
