Kendrapara: Miscreants looted gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs from Panchubarahi temple located at Bagapatia under Rajnagar police limits of Kendrapara district, police said Friday.
Rajnagar Police Station IIC Ajay Kumar Jena Friday said that the miscreants broke the temple’s main door Wednesday night and decamped with all valuable ornaments including the donation box.
The temple priest Thursday informed the police about the theft in the temple. Rajnagar police registered a case and pressed sniffer dogs and scientific team to investigate the burglary.
No arrest has been made so far, SDPO of Pattamundai Khyama Sagar Panda said.
