Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar Thursday issued a Yellow Warning (heatwave condition) for several districts of Odisha.
Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to rise about 3 degree Celsius at many places in the districts of Interior Odisha over the next two days and a slight fall is predicted thereafter, IMD informed.
Maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to be 40 degree Celsius or more and above normal by 3-5 degree Celsius at a few places in the state over the next three days.
Upto 8:30 AM of April 14: As per the Yellow Warning, heatwave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore districts.
Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of the state.
From 8:30 AM of April 14 to 8:30 AM of April 15: As per Yellow Warning, heatwave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Angul districts.
Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
From 8:30 AM of April 15 to 8:30 AM of April 16: As per Yellow Warning, heatwave condition is very likely to occur at one or two places over Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Sonepur and Boudh districts.
Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the remaining districts of Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a clear sky is predicted by IMD. Maximum and Minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 40 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
In the past 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 43.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Jharsuguda and the lowest minimum temperature of 18.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Phulbani.
